Full Stack Senior Software Engineer

Boostability is looking for a Full-Stack Senior Software Engineer, for our subsidiary company Manta. We're looking for someone who loves technology and takes pride in creating good code. +This position is fully remote, but we’re looking for candidates who are based out of the US.

What You’ll Need to Succeed…

  • 5+ years development experience building large-scale, distributed, high-volume systems.
  • 5+ years software developer experience in web development.
  • Strong programming skills and experience with Java is required.
  • Experience building scalable web applications with APls; understanding of A/B testing platforms.
  • Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mix Panel, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of software design principles, asynchronous programming, concurrency, caching, queuing, and distributed data storage.
  • Experience working with, or a desire to learn about, Big Data technologies such as Apache Storm.
  • Experience with ETL data processing and job scheduling.
  • Experience in front end with Node.js, services in Java and Node.js, PostgresSQL and MongoDB.
  • Strong coding skills in SQL, scripting and programming languages and thorough understanding of data structures, algorithms and complexity.
  • Experience modeling and designing Relational DBs and Star Schemas.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs using the Java Play framework.
  • Ability to develop asynchronous work queues, high volume storage systems, and high-throughput systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a predilection toward automating almost everything.
  • Excellent communication skills, initiative, and teamwork.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields preferred.


What You’ll Be Doing…

  • Dive into large scale technologies and massive amounts of data and solve the new puzzles in this giant landscape.
  • Interacting with mostly a Postgres database (and some MongoDB) to create new tables and modify existing tables as needed.
  • Using a wide range of programming tools/languages including Java, JSON, Javascript, Node.js, React, AngularJS, SQL, HTML, CSS.
  • Build and maintain backend APls as well as data processing components.
  • Integrate with leading third party vendors and provide team technical leadership and expertise.
  • Write unit tests and some pair programming.
  • Work closely with product owners to design, test, and analyze tracking metrics while developing innovative new product ideas.
  • Use agile software development methods.
  • Use tools to analyze code quality; identify and address technical debt.
  • Research and adapt new technologies to the Manta framework.
  • Manage day-to-day operational issues by analyzing and finding root causes and solutions for production issues.
